Our mechanical RPM counter (tachometer) cable is used as original equipment on the following vehicle models:
Porsche 356 (1950-1955)
Porsche 356 A (1956-1959)
Porsche 356 B (1959-1963)
Porsche 356 C / SC (1964-1965)
Notes:
Double check the condition and replace first if necessary your tachometer cable if you experience erratic or inaccurate RPM readings. This RPM counter cable is that of the last Porsche 356 version produced, the 356 C. This cable is fitted with a rubber sheathing that isolates the cable and dampens cable vibrations as it runs through the rear of the front dashboard area. This cable is also sheathed with a protective steel braided mesh where it passes under the valve cover and near the exhaust pipe.
