* This transmission shifter shaft oil seal is not used on the Tiptronic versions of the Porsche 964 or on the Porsche 964 Carrera 4 (1989-1994).

** This transmission shifter shaft oil seal is not used on the Tiptronic versions of the Porsche 993 or on the Porsche 993 Carrera RS Road Version M003 (1995-1996) with transmissions from serial Numbers G 5032 2 002001 > G 5032 2 999999 (1995-96)

This oil seal ensures the leak-proof installation of the transmission shifter shaft. For the Porsche 911 Carrera and 911 Turbo from 1987 to 1998, this seal is inserted inside the transmission housing cover. For the Porsche 993 Carrera 4 and the 993 Turbo from 1994 to 1998, this seal is inserted inside transmission distributor housing.
