This triangular-shaped cover gasket is used with the intermediate shaft cover (lid) that is located on the lower engine crankcase below the alternator pulley.

Remarks:

a.    When rebuilding the engine of your Porsche 911 from 1965 to 1968, this gasket for the front intermediate shaft cover can also replace the paper gaskets on the front of the Type I intermediate shaft.

b.    For the 911 Carrera ‘s and 911 Turbo’s from 1983 with later engine numbers than those listed above, as well as for all 911’s from 1984 onwards, the front intermediate shaft cover gasket reference 911.010359 is replaced by the intermediate shaft cover O-ring reference 911.010359A.
