Turbocharger hex head bolt, M10 x 40 mm., 911 Turbo (75-94) + 944 Turbo / Turbo S (86-91)

Our M10 x 40 mm. hexagonal head bolt is used in the following vehicles to fasten the wastegate crossover pipe to the Turbocharger: 

Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 L Type 930 (1975-1977)

Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera (USA-CAN) 3.0 L (1975-1977)*

Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 L Type 930 (1978-1989)

Porsche 964 Turbo 3.3 L (1991-1992)                        

         Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6 L Type 965 (1993-1994)

This M10 x 40 mm. hex bolt is used in the following vehicles to fasten the wastegate crossover pipe to the left and right-side heat exchangers:

Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera (USA-CAN) 3.0 L (1975-1977)*

* Models equipped with heat exchangers and thermal exhaust reactors

Moreover, this M10 x 40 mm. hex bolt is used to secure the Turbocharger exhaust pipe to the Turbocharger flange in the following vehicles (cars with or without a catalytic converter):

Porsche 944 Turbo (1986-1991)

         Porsche 944 Turbo S (1987-1988)

Lastly, this M10 x 40 mm. bolt is used (together with the M10 x 32 mm. bolt reference 911.010471B) to fasten the heat exchangers exhaust ports to the rear exhaust muffler in the following vehicles:

Porsche 914-6 2.0 L (1970-1972)

Porsche 914-6 Sportomatic 2.0 L (1970-1971)

When you take down a component of your exhaust system or when you replace the M10 x 40 mm. exhaust bolts on your Porsche 911, verify the good condition (and replace if necessary) the following parts:

911.010472B3 :  Exhaust M10 copper locknut, 911 Turbo (75-89)

N911.010488D: Support plate for wastegate crossover pipe, 911 Turbo (75-94)

When taking apart any component of your exhaust system we also recommend that you replace all associated gaskets in order to ensure a leak-proof setup. Please check that you have handy a sufficient supply of these gaskets:

911.010482: Exhaust muffler gasket, 911 (65-75) + 914-6 (70-72) (2) (required for 911 Turbo 75-77 USA-CAN-Japan)
